Hockeytown

J.P. is a huge hockey fan.  He loves to watch the Nashville Predators on television.  He wears one of his two Predators' jerseys whenever they're clean, usually over one of his two Predators' t-shirts.  He sleeps with Gnash, the Predators' mascot and he has a Predators' pennant on the wall of his bedroom.

Lately, he's begun to enjoy "playing hockey."  First, he puts on his hockey "helmet" - a Predators' baseball cap of mine.  Next, he puts on an old pair of my running shoes, which he calls his "ice skates."  Then, he and Jude stand on one end of the hallway downstairs and I stand on the other, hockey sticks in hand.  We take turns hitting a rubber ball (an official "NHL" ball) back and forth.  He's getting pretty good at using the hockey stick, actually.

Sometimes, he takes a break to drive the "Zamboni" to clean the "ice."  He "Zamboni" is a small scooter he sits on and rides up and down the hall.  Very funny and very cute.
